Allison Ramdial Ebanks is a dedicated Indo-Caribbean Canadian researcher, educator, and facilitator committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice within educational settings. With extensive experience spanning primary to post-secondary education, Allison specializes in adult education, curriculum development, and anti-oppressive education and programming. Her work focuses on facilitating conversations that critically explore the intersections of identity and representation in both traditional and non-traditional educational spaces.

Currently completing her Master of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Education in Urban Environments, Allison's research delves into how ethno-racial representation impacts educators’ identity formation in Canadian contexts. Her academic pursuits are complemented by her hands-on approach to teaching, which emphasizes experiential learning as the cornerstone of her educational practice. This method creates immersive and engaging learning experiences that connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, thereby deepening understanding and enhancing engagement and retention.

Allison’s commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable environments is evident in her professional endeavors and volunteer activities. She aims to prepare future participants and educators to be catalysts for positive change, equipping them with the tools and perspectives needed to create and sustain diverse and inclusive learning spaces.

What brings you joy? – Spending quality time with my family and reading a good book on the beach
