Jessica Ketwaroo-Greenworks is an intersectional gender equity advocate, and through her activism, she has implemented progressive systems and policy change in Canada. Jessica’s work has spanned a variety of disciplines within the gender equity sector, including sexual violence, intimate partner violence, criminal justice and women’s economic security through research, policy and analysis. Jessica works with organizations and individuals to build their capacity to address and dismantle systemic oppression. After eight years of working as a researcher, gender policy analyst and programs coordinator, Jessica started consulting in February 2020. She started supporting organizations in realizing their role in addressing societal inequity through education, policy change and research. As an activist, she is working to accomplish her mission of achieving racial and gender equity in her lifetime. Jessica holds a unique combination of academic, professional and lived experience in gender and racial equity. Her Indo & Afro-Caribbean heritage grounds her anti-oppressive policy and research activities into positive outcomes for racialized communities. Central to her work is the belief in empowering marginalized voices through an intersectional perspective and using community-based approaches to achieve data-driven results.
