Research and Development Intern
My name is Somphors Tann, and I am from Siem Reap, Cambodia. Currently, I am a master's student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I am deeply passionate about driving economic development through education, with the goal of empowering Cambodian youth and strengthening the Cambodian education system to increase access for all.
Growing up in rural Cambodia, where traditional norms often discourage female students from pursuing education, I have experienced firsthand the transformative power of education. I am a testament to its potential and am committed to creating opportunities for others to break barriers and achieve their dreams.
My international education journey, including attending boarding school in Switzerland, has provided me with a global perspective. This experience has enriched my understanding of diverse cultures and shaped my commitment to fostering cross-cultural connections through education.
